Can someone please get more details concerning the production

[edit]

At the moment scant details exist about the production and Mel Gibson also appears to be preparing for his Wild Bunch remake as well. Can we get some concrete details on it? - Colliric (talk) 05:22, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Are the better sources for the film having started principal production?

[edit]

productionlist.com is a weird source and no Hollywood trade has reported on the film having exited pre-production. I instead found an interview with Jim Caviezel from July 2023 that outright says that the script hasn´t been finished. That is 3 months after filming began. Something is very wrong here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2a00:1f:8702:6b01:b05d:a391:4bc:8e78 (talkcontribs) 17:52, May 15, 2024 (UTC)

Chapter I

[edit]

JNOJ1423 moved the article from The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection to The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection - Chapter I as seen here. In the first sentence, the inline citation for the "Chapter I" title is this but does not mention Chapter I. Researching further, I saw this from a blog that simply noticed that the title of the IMDb page for the film was changed to have "Chapter 1", which is not a reliable source. It looks like ComingSoon.net reported on this, but it is WP:POISON. I haven't seen any reliable sources confirm this title or splitting-up of the film. The actor says it could be split up into two or three films, so it's plausible, but there's no outright confirmation, and the Wikipedia article should not jump to conclusions. Premature move?

[edit]

In reviewing the current available details for this movie, where exactly does it state that it is filming currently? Gibson and Caviezel both have talked about it as a "future production" in all the sources that I can find. Can we find one that states it is filming?--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 02:44, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Colliric and Erik: and 2a00:1f:8702:6b01:b05d:a391:4bc:8e78 it looks like each of you were confused as to why this got moved from Draft status as well.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 02:47, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't recall expressing an opinion about it getting moved from Draft status? I didn't look closely to verify if it actually started filming, as the article body made it sound like it did. If there is no retrospective indication that it's underway, then the draftspace would be appropriate. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 11:41, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This article should still be in the draft space, as there are no reliable sources stating that production has commenced. The current sources had one stating it began 2 years ago (which we know is incorrect), while other state it is upcoming later this year. Until there is a verified source stating that filming has begun, this article needs to be moved back to a draft.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 14:19, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I agree. There is no way this meets WP:FILM. It's not in production, and there aren't even reliable sources showing it's in pre-production - just Hollywood rumor sites recycling the same vapor-ware quotes from Gibson and Caviezel. Andrew Englehart (talk) 14:02, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
